Wheel in Tamaqua

A new restaurant with the same delicious recipes as the famous Tamaqua location opened on Sept. 16 in Pottsville, PA. The WHEEL is operated by third-generation restaurant operator Savas Logothetides. Located in the historic Downtown Pottsville, it was formerly the famous Bar & Grill, operated by George Logothetides. Located only three blocks from the America’s Oldest Brewery, the new establishment offers over 35 craft beer selections. The new location accepts online orders.
Wheel in Tamaqua closing
A trail derailment in Tamaqua forced the closure of the popular restaurant on Sunday. The Wheel in Tamaqua has not announced the exact reason for the closure or what will happen to the restaurant once it closes. But the local police department has released details of an investigation into a theft of a storage unit. On January 25, police found that a lock on a storage unit was cut. The owner was able to recover a piece of musical equipment in the incident.
A local church will host a memorial service for Buehler on Sunday. Pastor Jim Williams will preside over the 10:30 a.m. service at Zion Church Lewistown Valley.
